I wanted to add some blue lighting to the footwell area of my new PiP to match the external color without dropping lots of money, so after spending $5 for some LED lights, I'm EXTREMELY happy with how this ended up looking! It looks a little more purple in the pictures than it looks in person.

Cool. Do the lights stay on or just when the door is open?

The existing footwell lights stay on when the doors are closed and the car is on/ready/moving. It dims down really low so I never noticed it until I checked yesterday.

Which LEDs did you buy? I was following another thread regarding the footwell lights and they were replacing the factory orange LEDs with white ones from an ES350. But those were about $40 for the pair IIRC.

I know this an old post - I'd love to see pictures. In looking at my current footwell lights, they appear to be a single LED, not a board of LED's...?

    thanks,
    Mark

I am curious as to how you attached the LED's?
My 2011 appears to have a single LED that slips into the dash underside cover.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The ones that were linked above had a little black 2 prong connector attached to a wire that connects to the "board of LEDs". That connector was perfectly sized to plug into the existing stock LED module socket.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about

I received the blue foot well lights as to the previously included link.

Perfect fit, just like the stock ones. 5 minute install. They work and look great!

All in, they were $27 shipped to my door for the two of them. :)
