Would some genius please rig up a light behind the front grill that works like the tv show Knight Rider KIT car. Make it visible during the day too, please. Also under a hundred bucks please.

    Thank you.

Darn, I wish I wasn't so cheap. I did have you in mind when I mentioned genius though.

There are light KITTs (pun) availible on the web. Just a quick search on Google. Doubt it will be under $100. I was thinking about this in the beginning when I was going to name her KITT but a friend beat me to it and named her Christine. Beside, you may get some flack from the Poh-lice for adding any lights to a car.

Having red showing to the front will be bad, indeed.... but if you only fire it up whilst parked on your friend's lawn at the next party, should be OK. :)

You'll have to report back on the result, if you do this.... is it a babe magnet? :p

A red or blue light would probably be illegal as it would look like a police car to someone in front of you at night.

Does anyone know if specific anti-light legislation is common, or is it just specific colors?

I'd take a KITT light in White if it'd be ticket-free. Or maybe a 70's-style-Cylon display (light with small tail moving in each direction) again in a color that isn't illegal...

Or maybe you could get an illegal one if you got the "turbo-boost" mod as well.

Heh, heh. Did you see the gas pedals? Too bad they aren't sequential.

    Good find!

Considering that both sites have the same picture, I'm assuming that the guy selling the KITT parts is getting them from J.C. Whitney and adding a bit (quite a bit, actually).

The other site is a fan site. If you were building a replica of KITT you'd be happy to find everything in one place. If you were going to convert your DeLorean to look like the one in BTTF, you'd probably get the stuff at http://www.bttfdelorean.com/ when with a little more research you could get cheaper.
