I have prius Hybrid which has this energy monitor/consumpsion screen. I also noticed that it has "MAP" and "Audio" button. The audio button seem to show me some light when pressed however don't seem see anything promising when press MAP button.

What I am not sure that if I have Sat Nav (or some form of map) system already installed or not. Any helpful tip please............?

If I have to install the mechanism in order to work with this MAP button then what kind of Sat Nav system is made for this prius screen?

Your kind help would make me only cleverer!!

    Cheers.

    Mash,

What year is your Prius?? I have an 05 with Navigation System that came with the Optios package. You need to check the package choice. The nav system is always on if your car has it. It is GPS based and works very well. The current version is 5.2 which just came out. The hardware is located uner the driver's seat on my model. In order to make the nav system interface with your screen, you will need to purchase the Prius nav system and will likely run $2500 to $3000. Check with a dealer near you. Other after market nav systems will cost much less that you can carry around in any car.

So, if you don't have nav system and you need one, look at the costs before you choose. The annual up-date for my system cost me $260.00. It's expensive but worth it for me since I use the Prius for my work(almost always).

    Good luck,

    Andy

If you have those buttons, I believe the systems should be installed. How long have you had this car? What audio system do you have? You should be getting something more than "some light" with that button. I don't believe it is possible to add OEM Nav as an after market item. It is certainly not cost effective. But from what you describe, it sounds like something may be damaged.
