For some reason the white looks better in B&W photos unless its in front of something heavily contrasting…. But a good wash and wax keeps the car looking photo ready all the time… and I like that you can't tell there's a clear bra on the car lol

Today @Gaspeed came by to finish up the rest of his mods. Tein coilovers & fog lights.

Wired up the fogs to be active whenever in ready mode. They can be on independent from the parking & headlights.

Thank you so much @sfv41901. I can't say enough how pleased I am with the install and happy that he lives within the area. A+ install.

Sean is really passionate about his work and a true genius when it comes to anything related to Prius parts and assembly.

Now the ugly, do not go to Alex from Fuzion Technique in Gardena if you care about your Prius. I had the unfortunate luck of having him install my Prius Plus Kit ($100), and K2Motor Fog Lights with grill ($120). My plus kit is missing bolts, clips, and fastners. While my fog lights were directly hard wired (meaning they are still on even when I shut off my car) causing my battery to drain when I forgot to turn them off. He might be cheaper and faster, but he will take shortcuts and mess up your car like he did with mine.

I only trust @sfv41901 when it comes to installs. A seasoned vet when it comes to Prius aftermarket equipment and OEM instillation.

Love the underbody lights - reminds me of the first fast and furious movie where the 3 black Honda civic's jacked semi-trailers :)

Thank you so much @sfv41901. I'm so satisfied with the installs you've done for me earlier today.

I was on TRD springs but I wanted to be lower so Sean recommended Tein coilovers a few months back and I finally had him install the kit for me. Sean was right when he told me the ride is smooth. To me it rides better than stock. The drop is perfect and I love the look.

Once again if you need some mods or installs done, you have to go to @sfv41901! Just like what @Bullet Salvador said in his post, his installs are so clean. I love that he explains to me exactly what he is doing. He also answers all my questions and his family is awesome!

Thank you again and I'll see you again soon!

    Types of Springs
    From Teins website[IMG]
"There are two basic types of springs, progressive and linear. A progressive spring is one in which the spring rate varies depending on the amount of load placed on the spring. So the actual spring rate is not a fixed number, it is more of a range. OEM vehicle springs and most lowering springs (including TEIN) are almost all progressive type springs. They offer good performance and ride when the damper length is set, meaning no adjustable spring seat or length."

"The second type is linear springs, which have a fixed spring rate. This means the amount of weight needed to compress the spring a certain amount does not change. Linear type springs are used on most coilover type suspensions. All TEIN coilovers utilize a linear spring, as do many other brands of coilovers. Linear springs make performance more consistent as the driver can better anticipate the suspension movement."

    Before with TRD springs

    After with Tein Coilovers:

    20140818_071425.jpg

The ride quality of the Tein coilovers is so smooth it feels just like as if you were on stocks. It's awesome!

My TRD springs are for sale for $100 if any of you in the San Diego area are interested. There is nothing wrong with the TRD springs. I just wanted to go lower. It only has about 600 miles on it.

Yes, the white does look better. If only the OEM came in white.
