    Good Job!

If you do decide to take the V out on the track again, disable the Traction Control. The car acts like a different animal:D

Haha thanks, it was a fun day.

What's the best way to disable the traction control? I was thinking of disconnecting the wheel speed sensor.

Now I'm curious and want to go back on track to test it out! (y)

Sorry for the poor quality, I had to edit it using Windows Movie Maker.

Thanks! Haha I only shined her up for the event, less aero drag and all. ;)

Thanks for the kind words Bruce. I try to track every single car that I've owned, just so I know the limitations and how they react at high speeds, plus it's just addicting. ;)

I plan to go again to see how different of a beast she is with traction control off. I can let you know when I go next time! Don't get discouraged either. Extremespeed, the people that organize these track events are very friendly and helpful, they'll get you amped up for your first session! :)

Last time I did that, was a 1981 vw scirocco, Mars Red. What a blast. Had a very nice Camaro that did some running as well.

I'm pretty sure you'd have a blast in the Prius too! :D

    Finally another update!

I got really tired of the poor lighting of the 3's head lights. So I decided to buy OEM foglight kit from
2012-2013-2014 Toyota Prius V Fog Lights, Prius V Fog Lamp Kit, Pair of Prius V Fog Lights: Juicedhybrid.com (Install instructions link is in the description) I don't like the quality of this kit. The fog lamps aren't factory, I cross referenced it with a v 5 at work. The only thing OEM is the bezels. But the kit does the job...

Then I got a little crazy and bought some HIDs for the low beam and LED foglights from The Retrofit Source Inc

H11: Morimoto Elite HID System - HID Systems from The Retrofit Source Inc
    XB35 5000K H11 bulbs with the 3five DSP (35w) ballast.

    and

    Morimoto XB LED Fog lights
XB LED Fog lights T type, 5000k. Higher quality than the supplied units from the kit.

TRS may be expensive, but you do get what you pay for. I had a set of DDM Tuning's HIDs on my MR2, and the ballasts kept going out, and the bulbs didn't last too long either. I was tired of always replacing components and being paranoid of getting pulled over for having a light out.

A familiar scene for those that didn't opt for the 5:

Yeah, it's a terrible before picture, but that's all I have of the stockies.

    In progress of installing:

I found it easier to remove the entire cowl then try to fight and find the grommets, cut through them, and route the wire. Save yourself the frustration and just remove it! The instructions were pretty straight forward for the foglight install.

The HD relay harness provided by TRS was nice, looks and feels high quality. There was a problem trying to install the power wire eyelet, as our battery is out back, and the front fuse box cover doesn't have a 10mm nut for power. Instead I cut off the eyelet, bought a female connector, crimped it in place, and plugged it in to one of the existing power pins (practically exposed in the fuse box.)

    All back together.

Foglights make the v so sexy!

    Light there be moar light!

I also replaced the parking lights and license plate lights with some Philips LED 6000k.
I'm loving the light output, can't wait to do some more night driving! :)

Installed some OEM mudflaps and the rear WeatherTech visor. I also lowered the rear to the max, but it doesn't look any different. :(

I forgot to post up the Digifit WeatherTech mats that I installed when I first purchased the vehicle.

Don't mind the rear, it was rolled up when they shipped it. It has now flattened out. I love the fit and finish, plus they're easy to clean.

Oh yeah, I also installed the Cusco front strut bar and rear brace awhile back. I need to keep up with my updates and post them.

How did you get rid of the glare from the squirrel finders so evident in the first pic?

Hey there xliderider, sorry for the late reply. To be honest, I didn't do anything but install the bulbs. According to TRS, their xb35 bulbs which are H11b bulbs have the return wire of the bulb facing down. Not sure if that'll cause it or not.

The squirrel finders are still there but just dim in the 2nd picture.

It's interesting to follow that FR-S since it's a similar concept - adequate hp and focus on handling. He was able to out-corner you but on the uphill stretch, you seemed to be holding on (until he let you pass?)

Yeah, the rules for the event are, if you can't shake the person behind you, you let them pass on the straights. I've been following him the lap prior, and he was supposed to let me by on the first straight, but he didn't(probably didn't want to get passed by a Prius ;)), so I late braked to get right behind him. Corner workers were violently waving the pass flag, and he finally let me by on the uphill straight. It's quite annoying when you're not able to pass on the straight and end up catching them on every corner.

I'm late on this thread. But:

    1. Really nice car. Didn't want to run the bronze Volks?

    2. No point-by passing?

CONGRATS ON THE MODS! I too have the same "modding disease" and may enter a 12 step program.

    I've added:
3 underbody braces and a strut tower bar.
    Tanabe lowering springs
ENKIE 17" wheels & Yokohama YK 580 tires in 215/50/17
    shark fin antenna
    INJEN cold air intake
    LED fog lights
    CREE Led daylight running lights
Scan Gauge II on steering column
aftermarket TPS sensors & display that reads out WHICH tire at WHAT pressure and temp

Next is front & rear sway bars - then the "handling package" is done.

Your mods are similar to mine. Check out my photos on this section.
I should have gone the shock/spring route like you did as my Cusco lowering springs overpower my OEM shocks a tiny bit on small bumps.

My last handling mod will be front Cusco and rear Tanabe sway bars. (Well, almost last - I will put adjustable shocks on at 50,000 miles to make them comparable with the springs.)
