I reprogrammed it and didn't include the option to use the 3rd party remote. (Forgot what they call it) The blinks went away, so I'm assuming that was it.

When flashing the default firmware without configuring any setting, does the 3x lock remote disable?

Not 100% sure what you're asking, but I believe it is enabled by default.

What star said. I had to go buy smaller taps to properly tap the wire, or rather a different brand of the same size. 22awg.

Do you have to be a dealer to download the software for the xkloader2?

No. You have to register on the website though.

Using ie-11... Apparently the software you need to download from the website vip4.5 has some major spam installed with it. It installed another 4-5 extra programs like search engines, optimizer and other crap. In the end there are two versions of VIP4.5 web addon installed 32&64bit and two silicon laboratories drivers. So after you install this go to programs and look at the dates to remove the extra crap.

I haven't downloaded the software but I'm going to and see if it asks you to approve the additional software. Most of the time it does, but they make it look like it's part of the main app.

Another question, if I wanted a remote extender what cheap options do I have? The car is in Europe so the subscription option wont work. Just want something that will extend the signal to lets say double what the factory remote is. Also does the dball have an alarm option or do I need something separate? Its getting a bit confusing. :)

I will be doing this install next week and will post my result also.

From what I've read here, not my experience, You must purchase a 'brain' which comes with their remotes and extends the range up to a mile. You do not need to subscribe to anything. And the subscription fee is to give you satellite control.

I purchased a pre-programed DB-ALL and the T harness for a convenience price and easy installation.
Soldered the three wires for a permanent connection ( pins #4, # 16 and #30 of the same white connector).
The DB-ALL flashed red 7 times but it doesn't auto start the vehicle.
After going through the posts in this thread, I realized that maybe the DB-ALL is not programmed properly from the beginning.
I just placed an order for the programmer adaptor and harness. :censored:

Did you tell them to program it? As in, give them your vehicle model & how many minutes you want it to run?
