I was driving on a fairly busy divided highway when a truck in front of me blew a tire. I couldn't avoid the remnants of the tire. Not wanting to stop right then, I got off at the next exit and found the tire carcass had ripped off the black plastic parts that keep the bumper cover in place. I have them reattached for the most part, but they are damaged. Is this something that Toyota stocks? Am I going to have to search junkyards for them. This is on my 2010 V trim level Prius

Yes, your Toyota dealer should have them. If not in stock they can order.

Believe it or not----- my G/f Elsie hit an armadillo on I-20 running about 70 mph, and did $3,500 of damage to the front of her 2012 ''v''. And--- she is a local insurance agent and has ''contacts'' from repair shops that she sends her customers to. Odds are good if I have a wreck or ''fender bender'', my agent will be there first hand.........

armadillo, that's a good one. I'm just glad the tire tread I hit was lying flat on the road, the car actually got off the ground when I hit it. I can just imagine if it had been lying sideways or if more of the tire carcass had been there I would be looking at some real repairs

Thanks everyone for the help, I ordered the parts from partsgeek, we'll see how it goes.
