Where I can get remote key fob other than dealer$$$ ?

The one I ordered is for a Denso 14ACX. Does that match yours?

Also: For some reason the link Mike posted has the links to Amazon blocked and it just goes to amazon. Can you or Mike provide some details please? Model # and manufacturer would be very helpful.

Is there an aftermarket rear hatch remote release??? My two previous family autos were Lexus RX350'S--- I'm SPOILED......especially, with the push-button closure. The remote sold on ''Ebay'' must be for a Lexus.

You are welcome, I hope it all works out. I am still waiting on my cable. I found a local shop to cut my key for $20.

 

Keep us all updated! I can't believe it costs that much at the dealer. My wife lost our Lexus RX350 fob, so this may actually save me quite a bit of money if this works!

 

Fails to install properly on Win7 64 bit. Also, it has an issue with the software being out of date and requires MANDATORY upgrade which in turn requires for you to have a Toyota dealership web access. I'll try and see if I can find a solution to these problems and will keep you posted.

 

Make sure that the computer is NOT connected on line. I used it on both XP32 and Windows 8.1 64.

 

Programmed eBay remote today. Works great. Need to get the key cut now. I was quoted $20 for that.
BTW, on my trim III the extra hatch open doesn't do anything. I also didn't see anything in techstream to enable anything for the button.
I also added a 'the jacket' remote cover to protect it. $5 at a local dealership.

Can you please post the details of how you did this? I have tried this on several pcs now including XP. I have lots of issues with it. I'm an IT guy so I know what I'm doing. I tried with internet,, without it, every possible thing. On a Win7 32 bit with AVG it actually came up with a trojan.

Do I need to run the TISKEY? Do I install the Mini VCI drivers first? That about the other folders - Do I need to install them prior to installing Techstream? Does techstream come up with Evaluate option for you?

 

I installed techstream newer version on the CD I got. 9 Something, then installed the driver for the cable. Ran techstream (not on internet) . With Mike's help found the key section and added new number.

 

So you installed version 9, then installed "Mini Vci"?
What is the 'key section' and 'added a new number' ?
