Haha you went there. My Zoolander days are over. I'm old now. :p

That being said. I'd still rather watch those dancers than the nice person-faced monster. Eek!

I'm male too. Your description is accurate except the realization was probably before you asked....but no further explanation needed.

It may just be a brand look for the Chevy division.

Just the 200lbs weight savings should do well for the Volt. All of these changes may be small but they do add up. If they can get the price down a few thousand it might actually sell well.

I doubt it. They are pretty darn close but I think the Prius will continue to be the CdA champ. :)

I was going to say that it's looking Impala-ish. Maybe if something in the picture nearby gave it some reference of scale, I might think differently.

I was going to say those earlier allegedly camouflaged photos looked rather zebra-ish.

Wouldn't it be awesome if that were the actual car -- just one color, black and white. The Chevrolet Volt Zebra edition: horsepower with an electrifying attitude.

Hmm, apparently they're going to reveal some stuff at the LA Auto Show in two days. Wonder what though, as I thought they were waiting till the Detroit show to show off the technical specs. Unless they just want to show what it looks like.

The actual reveal of the new Volt is still in January. The event is for Volt owners to see some of the technical parts of the car and to see an upgraded ELR.

The Volt only needs to go about 80% of the way towards matching the Prius; the rest it can make up with aggressive advertising.

I think chevy wants to compare to the toyota mirai announcements, and really if you compare the two the gen II volt looks better and better. I doubt we will see anything major until detroit, unless toyota drops a bombshell (which is doubtful).

I'll be at the LA Auto Show Volt owners event. They haven't told us what to expect yet. I'm guessing we'll get to see the newly announced Caddy ELR that they are showing to the media earlier the same day. I also suspect a presentation on whatever new Voltec 2.0 powertrain details are released as part of the ELR reveal. I don't really expect to see a new 2016 Volt in person and some of the performance numbers from the new ELR may get dialed back a bit in the Volt just as they are in the 2014 ELR and 2014 Volt.

The new Toyota Mirai FCV will have a North America debut at the LA show as well.

Here's a new video on it (I think). Let the hype and green washing begin! :)

Anybody else notice that quick display at 1 minute 15 seconds?
    Screenshots_2014-11-17-09-37-45.png

So let me get this right . . . Toyota - holding a license to use chademo 400V quick charging, would put it in this hydrogen car ... but not the rav4EV. That's just great. Oh, that's right they want to make electric cars look like they take 6 hours or longer to charge. Nevermind.
