Picked up my '06 a month ago and have found out that the disc/aux button does'nt switch to aux. :( I have tried plugging my ipod into the miniplug port in the center console, but whenever I push disc/aux button, then display either says no disc or if a CD is present, nothing changes. Called dealer said that it was warranty covered, but I just wanted to know if anyone else encounted this problem.
Have found threads on ground loop adator for noise problem, but not for disc/aux not working.

    Thanks

    David

I've also got a new '06. I hooked my iPod NANO into the miniplug port this morning. It worked without any issues. Good luck w/ your dealer.

Sounds like a problem. Mine does the same thing with nothing plugged into the AUX jack. But even with a jack that's not connected to anything plugged into the AUX jack, it will switch to AUX mode.

Try the "Mode" button on the steering wheel also. See if that goes into Aux.

There is one extra wire coming from the AUX jack to the radio, which I believe gets switched to ground whenever you actually have a plug installed into the jack. If the wire isn't grounded, the AUX option isn't even available, as you said. It may just be that the jack is defective, your dealer should be able to figure it out.

thanks for the feedback, I still need to get to the dealer, but on the phone they said it should be warranty covered, just a pain to not have the car for a day for an audio problem.

    Aux port is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    :D :D
I partially disassembled the center console, and found a little press plug dangling near the aux port. Not being not see clearly ( and scraping up my hand in the process),
I couldn't figure out at first where the plug went or where is came from. But after a little perserverence I figured out that the plug came from the 12V outlet, and plugged into the back of the aux-miniplug port. Either it was not plugged in originally or maybe have been jerked out by the console front drawer. Yeahhhhh..... Now the aux switch works flawlessly.
