Rosen did ultimately help with my Corolla system. The issue, it seems, is with the card and Naviextras. Rosen sent a replacement card to rectify what installing the new Canad/USA maps did to it; rendered it unreadable and wouldn't allow me to revert back to the saved data.
Based on my experience, Naviextras is pretty much useless if you have a problem with your maps or have issues with an upgrade. After one lame response they completely ignored any further attempt at communication and my only recourse was to address it with my credit card company.
As a result of the lack of support from Naviextras and the time it took Rosen to help (it wasn't their issue but they did what they could) I purchased a factory Toyota unit. I'm happy with my decision although the vehicle info doesn't work.
