I might get one just for the "SofTex® center console with armrest and storage compartment"...

    Still no DRLs?

Thanks for the info. Seems not much improvement. MPG most likely will be unchanged.

Would like to see if the SofTex center console fit my 2012 v. I hate the fabric one.

Diane, thanks for the heads-up on the 2015 MY Prius v Station Wagon hitting dealer showrooms during the upcoming holiday season – Glad to see the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) safety feature stayed, and Lane Departure Alert (LDA) added. I was hoping for inclusion of Toyota’s Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) & Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) safety features in the Advanced Technology Package, as installed on the Avalon, Highlander, RAV4 and Tundra. The retained Pre-Collision System (PCS), as currently spec’ed by Toyota, is better than nothing, but it still falls functionally short of, and is less aggressive than, Subaru’s EyeSight® and Mercedes' Intelligent Drive®, which function to help slow down a car or even bring it to a complete stop when collision danger is lurking and sensed. Mercedes-Benz TechCenter: Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive

Judging by the “Enhanced-Refreshed” 2015 Prius v Five w/ATP Station Wagon offering, Toyota Marketing is missing or disregarding my, particular, buyer-driver’s demographic and wants. I want and like driving a Station Wagon-esque chassis propelled by a more fuel-miserly, smaller displacement I4 (1.8-Liter) ICE power plant, versus it being powered by the thirstier, larger I4s & V6s (2.4, 2.5, 3.5, 5.0-Liter) gasoline-burners Toyota marries to the Hybrid Synergy Drive in their other hybrid offerings. I have managed to squeeze 125%± of EPA MPG out of my v(vee)’s fuel-sipping 1.8-Liter ICE/HSD combo over its 28,000+ miles lifetime. I want this miserly fuel consumption from a roomy, comfortable, kids, dogs & cargo-hauling friendly chassis, which is appointed with a full-compliment of safety-assist protection technology operating on board. Maybe the Next GEN v(vee) ATP will include safety technology that matches the capabilities of Subaru’s EyeSight® and Mercedes' Intelligent Drive®.

Thanks Diane for the info. That is good news about the price reductions - especially regarding the Technology pkg. When will the 2015's be available for ordering?

I presume I am a minority but I *hate* soft-tex. It would be the only reason I need to not purchase a car.

I can only hope. The description seemed to read soft-tex only, which prompted my post.

Can I please have boring back ?!
Is this front end going to become standard across models ? If it is, I'm going to give serious consideration to selling my Toyota stock.

Agree with you on this one. Hate that new blackout front end.

I usually make it a point to not post my personal tastes since I figure preferences vary, but I worry that front end will actually hurt sales. I'll go see it in person when available.

Interesting response to the front end. It's been popular so far, but I'm basing that feedback on in-person viewings so you might just have to check one out when they start arriving in showrooms in December.

I'm a huge fan of Toasted Walnut by the way, with the black interior--super upscale feeling. Not sure if my direct link will work but you can check out pics on the Toyota Pressroom: 2015 Toyota Prius v | Toyota

So to clarify a few questions--no, SofTex isn't standard, it's just the center console that is now standard SofTex, the fabrics have been totally redesigned for 15MY and are offered in black and an ash (gray).

Yes, MPG remains the same 44city, 40 hwy, 42 combined (still better than any SUV, CUV or wagon, excluding those with MPGe measurements).

    DRLs are standard.

Advanced Safety Features--tough to comment on future plans, but I assure you Toyota is studying many different options and I think you'll all be pleased with our direction.

Yes, same sort of Entune/Audio upgrades as Prius c 15MY. Yay!

    Prius v Two

 Entune Audio - includes the Entune Multimedia Bundle (6.1 in touch-screen display, AM/FM CD player, MP3/WMA playback capability, 6 speakers, auxiliary audio jack, USB 2.0 port with iPod® connectivity and control, voice recognition, hands-free phone capability, phone book access and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology) with integrated backup camera display

Prius v Three, Four and Five

 Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite - includes the Entune Multimedia Bundle (6.1 in high resolution touch-screen with split screen display, AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, 6 speakers, auxiliary audio jack, USB 2.0 port with iPod® connectivity and control, advanced voice recognition, hands-free phone capability, phone book access and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology), Entune App Suite, HD radio, HD predictive traffic and doppler weather overlay, AM/FM cache radio, SiriusXM All Access Radio with 3-month complimentary trial, Gracenotes album cover art, and integrated backup camera display

Entune® App Suite - includes Bing™, Facebook Places, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable®, Pandora® and Yelp™; real-time info including traffic, weather, fuel prices, sports and stocks. Access to Entune® services is subscription free. See toyota.com/entune for details.

Prius v Five Advanced Technology Package adds:

 Entune Premium JBL Audio with Navigation and App Suite - includes the Entune Multimedia Bundle (6.1 in high resolution touch-screen with split screen display, AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, 8 JBL® GreenEdge™ speakers, auxiliary audio jack, USB 2.0 port with iPod® connectivity and control, advanced voice recognition, hands-free phone capability, phone book access and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology), Entune App Suite, HD radio, HD predictive traffic and doppler weather overlay, AM/FM cache radio, SiriusXM All Access Radio with 3-month complimentary trial, Gracenotes album cover art, and integrated backup camera display

First: Dianne and Erica, thank you very much for coming online here and providing the info.

I'm also not a fan of where Toyota is going with the vehicle exteriors (in general, and across the line), but tastes vary.

Finally, Erica's description of the MY15 ATP package on the 5 may have a typo, but it reads like a downgrade from the MY13 model I drive, i.e., mine is a 7" display. Maybe just a lack of detail, but mine also has features like the parking assist, I don't see mentioned.

Looks like the split screen option has been added to the 6" display, which has been upgraded to "HD". So perhaps the 7" display is gone? The photos indicate this is the case. I really like my robotic 7" display with the CD slot behind. I agree that removing that is a downgrade.

I also think the new front end is butt ugly. The black lower section will weather and fade an look crappy in a couple years.

Greetings Lee – We are ZIP 32903 neighbor-members of the Hybrid Hive --- Happy Fuel-Sipping.

The direction of the exterior designs of Toyota’s vehicles also gives me pause. IMHO, the new design and shape of the front fascia of the MY2015 v(vee) looks like a “Bolt On,” and does not smoothly flow into, and seamlessly visually connect with the rest of the carried-over 2012-2014 chassis shape and appearance, beginning at the front wheels on back. To be fair, the styling and chassis designs of today’s automobiles are “Me Too” in nature, and largely are the Buyer-Judge deciding on, and picking, the “Least Ugly Baby” in an “Ugly Baby Contest.”

I also noticed the presence of the “6.1 in high resolution touch-screen” entry versus the previous 7-inch high-resolution touch-screen. It appears the Advanced Parking Guidance System (APGS) was pulled out of the MY2015 v(vee)’s Advanced Technology Package, and replaced by Lane Departure Alert (LDA) function.
