Hi everyone, has been a long time since my last time.

i have to go on a long trip, about a month overseas, and i have to leave my C on the parking lot.

the car is somewhat new, was boutght last december and only has 8.8k on it (small city, close to job, no place for bikes)

i am worried about the battery, it will discharge over that time if i dont use the car?

i require to ask someone to give a little walk to keep it recharged?

what would be the maximun time i could leave the car without using it?

thank you everyone for your help, i really appreciate it.

a month should be fine, if it has never been discharged. if you ever drain it by leaving the interior light on or something, or after its 4-5 years old, then i would be more cautious. all the best!(y)

    To complete the answer:
It should not be a problem IF the battery is fully charged to begin with.
If you do not already own a small automatic battery charger it would be a good idea to get one and connect it the night before you leave.

It also seems dependent upon the model. Prius C One models the battery seems to last much longer at standby the the Prius C Three or Four models as the SMART key system (and other electronics) is constantly on. I know when I test drove my car the 12v battery was dead after a few weeks of sitting.

    Hi everyone.

as bisco said i already left.

i didnt had a battery charger, so i left it with the battery at 80% (i guess thats the top charge it will hold)

and, my car is a C3 (not from american market, has no pseudo leather, but has fog lamps, no sunroof either) and didnt deactivated the smart key functionality... i hope this will not drain the battery too much.

now i am hoping to go back to home and find the car working fine again...

    thanks for the advice guys.

    No problem.
How long do you think that it sat, outside, at the dealership, before you drove it home? ;)

thank you all for the kind responses. the trip went longer thatn expected, and after almost 2 months, the only thing the car needed was some cleaning.

In such case when you want to preserve the battery for a long time all you have to do is just to disconnect the battery from the car and there shouldn't have any problem :)
