Headlights on 2013 Prius too dim. Anyone know of good aftermarket headlight assembly for 2013 Prius with stronger bulbs. Have tried HID bulbs, not much improvement. Have seen this issue mentioned elsewhere.

    There are none.

You will either have to do an HID retrofit (DIY or send them In for custom work) or install Prius Five LED headlight assemblies.

OP, HID lights too dim? Maybe you need to make an appointment with an optometrist/ophthalmologist?

Not sure which HID kit you bought, but my 55w 5000k is very bright.

OP must be looking for something like this:

The light on the truck would put out more than a million candela.

Hello. Are you saying that you just need to install a bulb, and not install this entire kit? I need the low beams to be brighter and extend longer from the car.

You would need to have the 55w ballasts as well, bulbs + ballasts. A relay is also a good idea for a 55w kit, the ballasts can draw much more power than 55w when igniting the HIDs.

Like xliderider said, you need the entire kit; which includes bulbs and ballast. Just to be on the safe side, I went ahead and installed a relay as well even though I didn't experience any "flickering".

Reading between the line here but I think what you tried are Xenon halogen bulbs NOT HID kit. I've own and owned a lot of cars with factory HID's and my conversion in terms of brightness, is right in line with those. I even posted a comparison which I will try and dig up.

Get a 35watt HID digital kit, and lack of lumens will not be an issue.

Ok guys I finished the install and the lights don't work. Is there any actual instructions somewhere?

Robert, same answer as the other thread you posted in. Try turning the oem plug around 180 degrees, and reconnect to your HID ballast. It sounds like the polarity is reversed.
