Hey everyone, recently been trying to find a good steering wheel cover and I wanted some opinions of what people on here use and prefer.

I was thinking of getting memory foam, but I hear that the cloth warms up and makes you sweat even worse on hot days. What about something made of some kind of vinyl or nylon or something.

    Just looking for input, thanks!

I got a leather-covered slip-on from the dealership's part dept. (they carry a lot of accessories). It is padded and has finger grooves. It is 12" diameter, same color (gray) as the interior, and it was $14.

Was that an OEM Toyota part? If so, what was the part#? Thanks

I do not remember who the manufacturer was. Previously, I had found their website; I will try to stop by the dealership and get a manufacturer for you.

That looks really nice, but I'm concerned about the leather. Does it stay a decent temperature in the hot and cold? It is frequently very hot where I live... well usually. We've been having one of our coldest winters ever.

I'll take a look at Wheelskins, but from what I read it may not be a good idea.

Joe, is that a particular product, or do you mean just any green cloth cover?

Ya know - that's not bad - and maybe better {IMHO} than the more expensive Wheelskins...

I'm so tired of the plastic feel - please - when you get a chance - let us know. Or post the dealership, and I'll call direct.

    Thanks!

Sorry I took so long to get back, but I got diverted for a couple of weeks by surgery and recuperation.

I went back by the dealership (Karl Malone Toyota in Albuquerque) and found the same steering wheel cover I posted earlier. It is made by Orex Motorsports.
    STEERING WHEEL COVERS
I went to their website, and although I was able to find the steering wheel cover (pn 36213 - Leather SWC - Gray - small), I did not see anyway to order the part from Orex. Perhaps they only sell to middlemen.

Nonetheless, perhaps one could order through Karl Malone Toyota. Here is their contact info:

10401 Copper Ave NE (I-40 and Eubank)
    Albuquerque,NM 87123
    Parts: (866) 779-9519

The part number on the back of the package is: ORE LT213

personally if I want a leather covered steering wheel, I'll buy a used one or have mine covered by a leather trim shop....wheelskins don't look good IMO.

Wow, thanks Teakwood! I will definitely look into that as my steering wheel cover blows (I have a split grip).

Sorry to hear about your issues, feel better!

Snake, did you ever find a memory foam steering wheel cover? Has anyone found a memory foam steering wheel cover that fits the Prius C??

I made some posts to PriusChat back in the spring/early summer documenting my excellent experience with WheelSkins - do a search using "WheelSkins" & "Irene" - see what comes up! - Wil

I did follow up with that link. Since Orex Motorsports didn't have a way to purchase from that website, I contacted them via facebook. I was actually surprised at how useless they were; here's the conversation:

"Hi Orex, What is the size of the "36227 Memory Foam SWC - Black - S" steering wheel cover? I have a 2014 Prius C that I've noticed has an unusually small steering wheel (universal fit is too large). Will this product fit? Also, I'm trying to buy it online/in person but can't find any retailers near me that sell it. I live in Toronto, ON, Canada, are their any retailers close to me/that would ship it to me that you know of?

I am sorry we don't have anything to fix 2014 Prius

I'm wondering why you used the word "fix". I'm not trying to fix anything, just add a steering wheel cover to my car. I see that you have small sizes of your steering wheel covers, I'm wondering what the size is of the "36227 Memory Foam SWC - Black - S"
Sorry. Typo. Fit. Size s fits Prius but not 2014 prius c

Yeah, Wheelskins doesn't seem to sell memory foam steering wheel covers, only leather ones.
Do you know if they sell memory foam covers?

As far as I know, the Prius family all have the same steering wheel dimensions. So anything that fits the Prius hatchback will fit the c.
