i am looking for recommendations for local shops in san jose, ca. that can give me a good estimate for reattaching the b wing spoiler on my prius.

i wrote Luscious Garage to ask them, they did not know , they wanted me to bring it over to figure out how to remove it. Luscious Garage is 50 miles away from me in San Francisco

you need to remove the plastic trim on the plastic molding on the hatch. you remove the bolts securing the spoiler, and then reattach the loose plastic clips that are holding the spoiler the spoiler is held by bolts and clips. both sides are loose and the spoiler is wobbling

if i take it to a body shop or the dealer i think they will charge me $300

the b wing is the rear spoiler on a Toyota Prius Touring Edition

    Why/how did it become unattached?

Any reason you don't want to give it a go yourself?

Sounds like you have the steps down.
You can buy the clips from your local Toyota dealer.
Usually can return any that aren't needed.

We here on the forums can help give you some support/encouragement.

the spoiler just came loose from normal driving i figure. or opening and shutting the door hard, if you kinda hit it , it will go back in place for a while on both sides

its the b wing spoiler, so i haven't seen any b wing instructions.

i removed the back panel once to replace the license plate lights and , all the clips kind of scared me from wanting to do that again. i had to put each clip back in place, and it seemed to take forever

i never removed the back panel that is behind the spoiler and haven't seen a video on what it looks like back there or what the clips look like

i am worried ill end up breaking the entire panel or breaking clips i guess

i took apart my mac mini sereval times and ended up breaking the tabs on its bottom plate , and am worried ill break the rear panels

If you are uncomfortable doing it, it may be worth having the dealer do it.
Assuming the spoiler isn't actually broken, I would imagine it would be 30-45 minutes labor, plus a few clips.
That should be less than $300.

If you decide to do it yourself, you may want to purchase and inexpensive set of panel removal tools
