My accessory power outlets won't work. I've replaced fuses but it did not fix. Any ideas??? I can't afford a big electrical repair bill :(.

Try plugging in something else into the 12v outlet. Maybe your device or charger is bad or has blown an internal fuse. And the accessory outlets only work when the car is on.

Are they ignition switched or always on?

Thank you for replying. Device charger is working in our other vehicle. Made sure the car was running when trying to operate. Could it be anything else?

Another question. Why do they put the fuse box in a location and position where you have to be 2 feet tall and upside down on your head to reach it?

There are two 15A fuses that must be checked: PWR OUTLET and PWR OUTLET FR. Both must be operational. Use an ohmmeter to verify continuity of those fuses.

Thank You---Thank You!!! I had looked at all the fuses and they looked fine but I just replaced the 2 you suggested and I'm back in business ;) We're about to take a long trip and it would be mighty painful without the accessory outlets.

If a fuse blew, it might be due to one of your devices having a short, or something bad in the car's wiring. Stay cognisant, it may blow again.

Or the device just pulls too much juice. The Prius couldn't handle my first 12v pump.

An aftermarket 12v iPhone charging adapter took out the v's front accessory outlet. aftermarket adapter was promptly binned.
