I just picked up a brand new 06 Silver prius package 8. I love the car so far. I noticed the automatic window switch for the driver isn't automatic for me. The "Auto" light is also blinking. Anyone know what is wrong? Should I take the car in?

Have you tried to go through the "window calibration", or whatever it's called? If the battery dies, I know the manual tells you how to recalibrate the auto-up feature. Maybe that will fix it?

mmhmm. Check the manual for recalibration of the AUTO feature.

roll the window all the way down with the button and hold it down for 15 seconds when it reaches the bottom, then roll it all the way up and hold the button in the up position for 15 seconds.

    I think that'll do it....

If not, then repeat the above process but follow it with again rolling the window down and holding for 15 seconds again.

Sorry if I sounded harsh but I didn't have the procedures memorised. I know how to normalise the moonroof on the Camry cause I did it before but I've never had to normalise the power window.

You'd better dig around here and on other sites for the Pre-Delivery Checklist (or ask for a copy from your dealer) to see what ELSE was missed, as the Auto feature is part of that list, they should have done it before you picked it up.

    Great !
My 2008 P2 had this problem after the 12V off to install the plug-in 4MKW kit. After I roll it up & hold for 15s and roll it down & hold for 15s. The flashing light got solid and function recovery.
    Many thanks!
