When/Why did they rotate the Steering Wheel buttons?

    i went from an '08 to a '12 and didn't notice either. that's the great thing about all timers.

    Yeah, you're probably in the majority. My wife is more in charge, sets, and knows the presets. I'm the luddite: "lessee what's on". I'll finally switch it to CBC am, happy. ;)

    That's because back then, the focus was on the INT setting/knob on the wiper stalk. It was the reverse of the Gen 2.

    Fairly enough. When I had SAT, I used the TUNE knob since there was almost a channel with every increment in number. I think it auto-seeks to the next available channel if I land on a channel number that didn't exist. A little different than terrestrial radio.
