Does anyone else have windows rattles or am i the lucky one? The only door mods that i have are speakers (which are securely screwed to the frame) & tint.

I also have the "sticky" window syndrome. In other words, the window likes to stay stuck when closed and it makes a sticky sound initially going down. I'm guessing that it is because of the tint, but even other cars with tint have this too!
I've tried cleaning it with alcohol and even tried some silicone spray, but nothing really worked.

I've noticed a new 'bass rattle' in my door lately... I just have the Premium system and a don't even 'crank the bass', but on certain notes I get a pretty bad buzz from somewhere in/on the door.

No sticky windows that I've noticed tho'.

As I read you post my first thought was "Did the car have these problems before the mods were done?"

Sorry to hear you are having these issues.

    AHHHH!! THANK GOD!

I am going completely nuts with the rattle/wind sound in my door or window. Every time I go over a small bump, the window (or door) sounds like it loses the seal and the wind noise gets a little louder. Sure, its small, but it happens 15-20 times a minute and drives me slightly nuts.

I complained to the dealer about it when I went in for my 30,000 mile service. They looked at me like I was nuts, and drove the car for 15+ minutes and swore they couldn't hear it. I don't know how else to describe it. They put scilicone spray on the rubber, but it didn't really help. :( This is my biggest complaint with the car, if I could fix it, I would be so happy.

GreenMachine, I actually had the rattle problems since day One. The sticky window did come after the tint, but other cars without tint also have the same problem. Maybe someone here knows a solution.

heavenleigh, looks like you and I are in the same boat. I also get the wind noise, but that doesn't bother me too much. Maybe lack of insulation or sound deadening material. Silicone spray didn't really work for me either.

I'll probably end up taking at the dealer, but i have a STRONG feeling that it is going to be a waste of time. "We hear nothing!" or the problem won't replicate itself with them...hmm?

    Any solutions?

I have one too, but I discovered that's because my wife put a box with chopsticks inside the door pocket. I put some rubber material (that's normally used to line tool boxes) along the bottom which seems to work.

Same here.. both the rattles & sticky windows syndrome (front passenger particularly). Seem to come and go with the weather. Dashboard rattles also seem to come and go with the temps. On the worst days, it sounds like I'm riding in a city bus.

I'd mention it, but I'm still waiting for the dealership to do something about my failed MFD -- Three times in now and still failing. They said they're going have the regional tech take a look whenever he comes by next... I'm afraid to mention any of the rattles, just to keep everyone focused on the MFD...

I have a 2006 and have the rattling on all 4 windows when I have it down 1/4 or less.

At 5k service, they couldn't "find" anything.

At 10k service, I sat in the car with a tech and we heard it on all four. We wondered if this was a design flaw since all four had it. We took a 2005 Prius, drove the same road, ran over the same center reflectors and heard the same rattle. :(

He said if it gets really bad, then they can take a look at it again. :(

The sticky window problem seemed to become less as the temperature was rising
:( . But the window rattles are still there.

My car has 15 k on the odo, and like many here is driving me nuts with the rattles  . Toyota needs to stop being cheap about the interior material they use on the Prius. I'm sure if they spent a few extra bucks in softer, more pliable materials, this annoying problem would be corrected. The Prius is an excellent car, worthy of better cabin materials.

I was getting a whistling wind noise and found the cause from an earlier post on this forum.

Underneath the side mirrors, there's a plastic film covering the screw holes. A slit appeared in the film and this was causing the wind noise.

I took off the plastic and have been whistle free ever since.
