I have a 2012 Prius v and the weatherstripping around the hatch is loose. It appears to be in OK condition, but does need to be reattached to the metal of the car. Has anyone done this or have a recommendation for good adhesive to use for this job? Thanks!

Your auto supply will sell you a tube of "Weatherstripping Adhesive".

Thanks for the reply, X. I'm going to give the 3M brand a try.

That's a good one. It comes in yellow or black, I'd get black.

    Hello everyone! First time post.

I bought a used 2012 Prius V and have the same issue with the weatherstripping on the hatch. I used the 3M weatherstripping adhesive and now I have to slam the hatch with greater force multiple times to get the "door ajar light" to turn off.

Has anyone had this same issue? Is there a remedy? Thanks so much.

I figured out what the issue was. The weatherstripping rubber has two "lips." They both need to be seated properly in order to create the correct tolerance to turn off the door warning symbol. Problem solved!
