I have an 07 and replaced the HV battery. Before swapping battery, I had Red Triangle, (!), VSC, Check Engine (took car to dealer who diagnosed it as needing HV battery). Now new battery is in but error-icons remain. The LCD display shows battery as more that half-charged. I connected an old Actron ODB2 scanner (circa 2000), but it doesn't Read any codes and doesn't Erase the codes causing the problem.

    Any help is appreciated!

Your old OBDII reader won't be of any use in this case. Since the battery meter shows that there is something in the battery, I assume that you have properly reinstalled the battery safety plug. But just to be sure, you need to slide the plug downwards as the last step. There have been a number of similar posts here, failing to do that.

Otherwise, you will need to get the codes read, and if you can get a mini VCI, that will be the cheapest way to do so.

    The safety-plug was not pushed-down!
After pushing plug down, all warning lights went out, _except_ for red-triangle ("of death")!?
Engine came on, car could move (finally) but RTOD persisted.
Perhaps it would have cured itself eventually, but I disconnected 12V for a minute and now RTOD is gone!

    Sincere "Thank You!" nh70 & bisco !!!

This has been a repeated theme, now that so many DIY's are replacing their batteries. I was not aware that the SOC will still show something even with no battery on the line. What's with that? Surge caps in the inverter would not retain that much charge.
