I was driving a 2002 Subaru WRX. Most bang for the buck that you can get. AWD and 0-60 in 5.4 for 23K. I miss that turbo kick and cornering like a cat on carpet. I think this winter will be interesting w/o the AWD. However, I got a #9, so with the ABS, VSC and traction control I think it'll be ok.

But overall, I have dramatically changed my driving style. Now I am so much more relaxed and really a safer driver. I don't mind taking my time because I'm completely absorbed in my MPG and not my MPH!!

To the poster who got rid of the Porsche, I feel ya dude.

'95 Saturn SL1, with 152000 miles on it. Averaged about 40MPG in my commute. Dealer gave me $700 in trade for my '04 SRP #7.

Just got rid of my 2001 Land Rover Discovery avg 9-11 MPG. I'm going to miss crawing up hills that people have a hard time climbing up on foot. The active cornering enhancement and selv leveling suspension that makes the the SUV corner like my 2000 BMW M3. Still have the 2004 Mercedes E500. Gotta love the monster under the hood...pretty good at 17-22 MPG.

Won't miss being bored out of my mind during the 36,000 / year commute that drives me to passing Hybrids and people doing the speed limit. :p

1999 Subaru Outback limited, MPG around 28 avg. (sold that one to mom) So far will only miss the MUCH more comfortable drivers seat with manual height adjustment. Still messing with pillows for the Prius seat - need to get my butt up in the air :) Keeping mom's 95 Subaru Legacy for a beater car (roof racks, dog hair etc.) Prius is for "work" and general use.

    4Runner

My last ride was a 95 4Runner, sold it for $1000.00 with 186K on it. Still ran GREAT! I really loved the "Utility" in my SUV. Since it was older, I didn't worry about weather, or getting it dirty. The first week it was gone, we purchased 15 bags of mulch. I rememberd the old days of just tossing it in the back. I actually used my brothers older Privia Van, to pick it up. I also did some remolding projects at my house. I could easily fit 4x8 sheets of drywall, etc. Now my remodeling projects will add another step, (finding someone with a vehicle to get what I need)

I averaged around 17-20 MPG, which I thought was good for an SUV.

    No trouble selling it.

I hated to let it go, but with my New Prius, My fiance's Honda, an 83 Supra, and a 4Runner, something had to give. I also ended up selling the 83 supra for 1500 as well. it only had 113K on it, and in really good shape for an 83. Kind of a Classic! you know.

With a one car garage, I just didn't have the room. I use to keep the 83 Supra in the Garage, and the 4Runner outside, I have a double wide driveway but only one car garage. Just wasn't enough room for everything.

We too have a 2000 Tundra which we use to pull our Scamp Fiberglass 5W travel trailer. Before we got our Prius it was our only vehicle; now we only use it when we go camping.
