I am just about to purchase a roof rack and am deciding between the inno square bars and the Whispbar aero bars. The whispbar setup is almost twice the cost, but I like the look and the possibility of reduced wind noise. I know there are other threads on roof racks, because i have been switching between them in my bookmarks. However, I thought it would be great if everyone could post them all in one spot. I will post mine here as well once I decide, but am hoping to see some more pictures and feedback on what people have used.

Why does this forum post random links in my post? I didn't link to anything, it did it automatically. So please disregard those links. Thanks.

The links are added automatically so the owners can possibly make some money by linking to products based off keywords. ;)

I got the Whispbars for my minivan...hmm not as good as my Prius bars.
You don't wanna know what I got for my Prius in 2006 cause they don't make em anymore.
Too bad they are utopia (Saris). I got them because PriusChatters liked em.

What do you intend to carry on your roof? It if's stuff like gear and/or bikes, consider a TorkLift hitch, CoilRite air suspension lifts, and maybe a lighting kit to carry a box, basket, bike rack, etc. The cost is the same, you don't have that rack whistling and sucking away your gas mileage.

I am planning on carrying SUP boards and sometimes shortboards. The rear mount rack won't work for my application. I am not too concerned about losing gas mileage. It seems that people haven't lost too much because of the rack.

Notquite, you'll want something for that app like the Malone HandiRack inflatables. They come off quickly, are great for surfboards, and because of easy removeability, they won't be killing your mileage and making a racket, which roof racks always do. That's the only reason we didn't put a set on our Prius (we bought the thing for great mileage, after all).

Another thing to keep in mind is the spread. Due to the short roof line on the Prius C, you have to make sure the bars are far enough apart to support the load properly.

Shortboards should fit inside with a seat folded down?
