hybyrd battery dead need to get in to garge , unlock transmision

    need help first off I have a 2002 Prius can't find the posting for the older Prius' second battery is dead need to get in to garage to change battery how to unlock trans?

    Get your owner's manual out if you have one. It shows the little cover you have to pop off of the steering column to push the release for the shifter. It's a little rectangular cover that pops off with a small flat head screwdriver I think. I'm not at my car to look but I know it's in the owner's manual.
