There's like 4 strut bars on the market for our car. They do virtually nothing as our strut towers are integrated into the firewall. I have the ultra racing brace. Looks cool when the hood is open I guess, but changed nothing.

The darkened part of the front grill/bumper. Can be matte black or gloss. I think it looks best matte.

I'm waiting to get my airrex suspension and wheels. Other than that just black out the headlights and done. Might do the headlights first as it's not money dependant. Want the touring spoiler and hatch mid spoiler as well.

Did you have to get them cut by Toyota, or will anywhere that cuts keys do them? Do the unlock/lock buttons work, too?

I cut them myself. I had access to a key machine last night.

But I suppose anyone can do it (ie. Home Depot, Lowes, etc).

One bit of advice: Remove the key blades from the cases before having someone cut them. The plastic case is bulky and didn't fit the Speedex machine I used. I can see where this can screw up aligning the blank with the original key and cause an issue. I've read that people have screwed up trying to cut these keys and I suspect this is why. Oh, and line up the key / blank at the tip, not the shoulder (no sharp shoulder on car keys, and the two don't match anyway).

Having said that, I got 2 thinking that I might screw one up. Turns out I managed to cut both correctly.

Thanks for the tips. This is very cool. I hate how 'standard' the key is. Are you able to use the lock/unlock buttons?

The guts of my Toyota remote keys got moved to the new case, so yes, the lock/unlock buttons work. There's even a spot for the transponder chip if my car had one.

I was actually surprised that it took less than 2 weeks overall to get to me.

Careful folks, the oem switchblade keys break often and these very cheap aftermarket ones will poetically break more easily.

I have the same flip key. I have had mine since october. Got it from ebay for around $10. I drive the car and use the key everyday and the flip key is still in tact.

I gave it to a shop to cut. They asked me to remove the key from the switch, so I did. My local homedepot and lowes said they do not cut keys that are not in their inventory. Meaning they would not cut the blank I had.

I swapped over the buttons and it works well.

If you have to remove the key blade from the switch, make sure you dont misplace the spring. I had to tighten my spring up when I reinstalled the blade so I could get a little more flip action from it.

Otherwise, its working well. The sliver key ring part is pretty cheap and the paint comes off quickly.

In the rear, I blacked out the emblem background, installed a receiver hitch, and installed the wiring pigtail for a trailer.

In the front, I blacked out the emblem background, and in the lower section of the grill (below the bumper) I secured 1/4" screen to stop the majority of the rocks and pebbles that can damage the a/c condenser. Note: don't install too fine of screen, or it will overly restrict air flow.

PlastiDipped the front bumper, added polished stainless beauty rings, chromed closed end lug nuts, and Mr. Gasket chrome caps.

The mesh is awesome, I got too many leafs stuck at my radiator now and it's bloody hard to clear them!
