My 2010 Prius with 66,300 miles had the service engine or check engine light come on for the first time. I took it to AutoZone and it was code po0607. I drove about 40 miles and it went off. Any ideas and should i take it in? The car is running the same.

this could be caused by a weak battery, is your 12v battery original? Have you done the inverter recall?

Did the inverter recall, and the original 12 volt. The car also sat outside in the cold for two days. How do I know if I need a new 12 volt, any signs?

Since the battery is 5 years old, you should just go replace it. Then see if the symptom goes away. The battery will cost about $200 at the Toyota parts counter, for them to install it, it'll be around $300

    If you have a 10 mm wrench, it'll only take you 15 - 30 minutes......quite easy.

Check the voltage with a multimeter. 12.6 volts or higher is a battery in good shape. 12.4~12.5 is a "middle aged" battery, still serviceable, but you want to monitor. 12.3 (or lower) is not so good, best to start shopping.
