Anyone else do this "move" when closing their windows?

I noticed that my impatience has shaped a strange behavior upon closing the windows. I use my ring finger to start the one-touch driver close, and then I employ what I now refer to as the "Eagle Claw" maneuver, to roll up the other 3 windows simultaneously.

Most......intriguing. That finger combination is reminiscent of the infamous "Vulcan neck pinch" :).

Which, incidentally, raises the question; if Vulcans secretly paid a visit to Earth between 2004 and 2009, I'm curious as to what they would have thought of the Prius 2nd Gen.
I can see the raised Vulcan eyebrow on each of them calmy, unemotionally perusing one of the top of the range versions.

    Their verdict?

    "Most.......logical".

My guess is that the very design and layout of the buttons are to encourage this very "move".

I often check to make sure all my windows are rolled completely up before leaving the vehicle using a similar double row two fingered approach.

I'd show you....but I'm waiting for the patent to clear.

Actually, I do that every afternoon of my commute home, for the first 0.5 miles. It's getting hot in the afternoons (20c today), so I do that to expel toasty air from the cabin before initialising life support.....er.....climate control protocols.... ;)

I usually do the driver's then the two rear windows, and then the front passenger the last. On the Gen 3, it helps that all windows have a one-touch feature (up and down). Then it comes down to a game of timing them :p. The rear windows are variable speed; they slow down just before they close.

this thread wouldn't exist if we all had manual roll up windows.

Now that you've mentioned it, I've noticed I do exactly the same thing without even consciously realising!

When you have such an awesome AC/Heater system to use...all of my previous vehicles had AC issues - ALL OF THEM. So I now appreciate the finer things...like my cooling system...

Are you talking about that bassy flapping/beating sound that feels like it's ripping your ear drums out? I just crack the front window a little and it goes away. Some kind of vibratory resonant vacuum that is created by the aerodynamics of the car... It reminds me of the "beating" that occurs when tuning a bass guitar as the two frequencies cycle in and out of sync.

Yes that's the sound. I normally roll down the back passenger window for my dog, but that reverb sound is really annoying

Yeah its terrible. I get the same thing when I have the windows down for my blue nose. I can't help but feel like it's also robbing me of MPG... cracking one of the front windows seems to "tune" the aerodynamics of the car and kills it.

I avoid it at all costs. The reverb is painful for my ears, and often, the wind annoys me. Having a sun/moon roof eliminates this issue, provided it is open with one of the 4 main windows open. However, my Prius isn't cut with that lovely feature...
