I have a 2015 Plug in Prius and want to use my Starmate 8 ala carte radio in my Prius. I need an audio or aux input which the Prius does not seem to have.. It does have a USB input which works with my phone and iPad but will it work as an input for the satellite radio? If it will I need an audio plug to USB to connect. Any ideas if such a connector exists. It can be either a male or female audio connector.

you would need some way to convert audio to a data stream because USB only has a 5 volt dc power connection as well as a + data and a -data connection, ( no audio)

There should be a 1/8" female jack located next to the USB Aux in. You will need a stereo cable with a male 1/8" mini jack on each end. Best Buy or Radio Shack carry them.

if the starmate is a sat radio, wouldn't it be better to just move the subscription to the PiP ?

Thanks to all!!! I found the 3.5 mm audio jack. Toyota buried it under the USB so any user would have trouble finding it. My Starmate 8 satellite radio works just fine through the plug. I had asked about using the USB during a service visit and they said no, but they did not refer me to this plug.
