I picked up a bumperguard for my C, and was very disappointed. While it might look a bit more stylish, i believe this product is flawed, particularly for use on a Prius C.

Attached are a few images to highlight issues I have with this, if you are considering this product. On the image where the bumperguard is attached, and hatch is closed, you'll see that this product only covers a small geography of the bumper.

If you forget to remove the product before opening the hatch, it served as an extension, and would hit you if you stand behind (see picture with hatch open). Also, the product is hooked on thru two screws on the bottom of the rear license plate (unable to screw those two bolts into the car with provided parts)- thus the license plate and bumperguard are only held by top two license plate bolts. When lifting up the hatch without removing bumperguard, I think there would be a good amount of strain on those two bolts/drill holes. On that note, since the bumperguard is thick foam, it would take up a good amount of space in the trunk of the car, which is small for the C.

Picture of hatch closed and no bumperguard - bumperguard is attached to car with two small knobs on lower part of rear license plate frame. See photo of the backside of bumperguard - the security key to lock in bumperguard is just two thin metal rods. This is silly, since if someone wants to steal your bumperguard, they'd just unscrew your top license plate frame bolts and take your plates/frame/bumperguard. Also, as seen on the image of the backside of bumperguard, you'll notice what appears to be a flimsy connection between the foam body of the bumperguard and the plastic attachment portion of the bumperguard

I am disappointed with this purchase...both quality and utility of product. This is especially not well suited for cars where the license plate is part of the trunk/hatch. Hope someone that is in search of bumper protectors finds this useful

Thanks for the review. Quick question, by looking at your pictures, it seems that you took the pictures in Flushing? Im in that area too.

Cool. If you ever want to meet up and show off our Cs, I'll be down.

Thanks. I get a lot of questions on what that means. I guess no one watches South Park anymore
