i have a 2010 Prius with a cracked driver side tail light. I'm hoping to get some advise. My dealer quoted $500 for a replacement. I've watched some diy videos and fell comfortable doing the replacement myself. My question is should I stick to the OEM replacement light or go with a new set of after market LEDs? If LEDs what brand and website do you recommend? Are the 2012 tail lights an option on a 2010? Any suggestions are appreciated!

If I were considering some new tail lights (in no particular order) I would be deciding between:
    • Valenti CR
    • Stellar V
    • Prius G's (what I did choose)

Here's a little Valenti demo video:

    Here's a Stellar V demo video:

The G's tail light is an OEM tail light with the blacked-out theme.

(For the record... I have no commercial affiliation with any of the above. I'm just sharing what I like.)

$500 is a robbery. I hate this dealership.
If you are confident enough To tackle it yourself then do it. I guess its just a plug and play.
    Here's the DIY link

I recently acquired a 2010 Prius with the solar roof / ventilation option. Even more recently the entire plastic cover fell off the non driver's side tail light assembly somewhere along the way. Toyota wants over $300 for just one, and I think that does not include labor. I've never been a fan of these tail lights and I'm thinking maybe there would be a better looking replacement. Suggestions? I've done several searches online and haven't found anything tasteful yet.

The valenti`s r very gorgeous. Dont ever pay that much for a OEM tail light from the dealership... The orices dealerships wants for just parts is ridiculouswhen u can do almost anything urself for under half the price. There r also some other lights called "crystal eye" which is pretty nice, they got a cool indicator motion and stuff. But i would definetly go for a pair of valenti`s if i were u.
