Does anyone know of a cell phone mount for the 2010 Prius. I am looking for something that is permanent and not a suction cup mount. Specifically I would like to mount my iphone. I have a cradle for the iphone I am just trying to figure out how to install it.

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated! Proclips doesn't currently support the 2010 Prius but I have sent them an email to find out when the proclip for the 2010 should be available.

    Thanks.

I've contacted ProClipUSA as well and they said they have so many models to catch up that it will be awhile. When I get the email from them that it is available I will post it here on the forum. The ProClips are the way to go. You can have vehicle mounts in all your vehicles and switch out device holders between them very easily.

Great news -- ProClips are available now and come in three mounting locations: along the vents on the center of the dash, to the left of the steering wheel, or to the right of the cup holder. I placed my order this evening and will post pics as soon as it is installed.

I have a ProClip in my 2006 Prius and had one in my 1997 Explorer (RIP). Yes, they are a little expensive, but they are totally worth it. Once you get one, you will see why...

Which area did you buy the clip for? I was thinking one of these would be good for my GPS to bring it closer in that mounted on the windshield.

Does anybody know if the ProClip GPS mount (center) can turn inward toward the driver? Or is it stationary?

Here's the ProClip mount for my iPhone. It only mounts on the right side of the console, it adjusts in a 360 degree circle, tilts up to 15 degrees, requires no drilling and installed in around 2 minutes.

Thanks for the pics Vincent. I like it. I wonder if the GPS center mount rotates inward for the driver's viewing. The picture shows it pointing straight on. I will assume it adjusts like yours.

It's a 2-piece kit. The flat console mount shown in the manufacturers photos is not adjustable. But, the phone holder that attaches to the flat console mount rotates 360 degrees and tilts 15 degrees. In my installation, the tilt is around 10 degrees (any more and it hits the cup holder door when opening) and it's a comfortable viewing and operating position.

Someone else asked me to test the iPhone GPS function from that position and I will do so and report tomorrow on the thread linked above.

So... how is the GPS performance? Does it still work as well as it would from the windshield?

I like this option... tough to tell from the pics, does it mess with your ability to slide back the console? Any restriction of use there?

    Thanks!

I got the proclip today, the center mount with the cradle that has the cable pass through for the iphone 4. Its incredibly expensive at $30 + $80. But I have to say this is a quality product, something difficult to find nowadays. The fit on the mount was perfect, the cradle is solidly constructed and adjustable. It really shouldnt cost half as much as it does, but if you want it done right, without modifying anything, its definitely the way to go.

The GPS works fantastic in it. I have it wired to the USB input on my head unit. I just slot it right in, even with the case on, and it hooks right into the HU for sound and charging - switch to Tomtom and everything just keeps playing and you can retain control from the headunit. Its a fantastic setup, certainly worth the money if you can afford it.

I've had very good luck combining the Proclips solution (thank you for that) with the cradle from www.smoothtalker.com I'll post pics soon,
    Cheers!

Just adding a bump to this thread.
I went with a Clingo for the iPhone and attached the sticker part on center console and the suctioned cup there. Gives both power and head phone jack easy connection. I wanted the phone low, but I gotta admit the thing is ugly.
I have an 07 Prius so I put it under the storage door on front console.
If needed I can post a picture.

I would like an adjustable cradle since I buy a new phone every year or so. I like the center mount idea. Where could I get an adjustable cradle for good deal.

    Hi guys,

I started using the Nimbus Mount (basically a replacement shifter knob that doubles as a magnetic phone holder). I really like it since it keeps my phone within easy reach and I have a lease (so no permanent glue). I got it off amazon,

That's a neat idea. So the shifter knob unscrews? Will the magnetic holder work thru a phone case?
