I also de-yolked my turn signals today.

Although I have LEDs installed, the Yellow plastic base of the LED creates the blaring yellow reflection.

I ordered some foil tape on Amazon and did it up ...

The LED bulbs also require a new flasher module. So, you'll need to do all four (front & back) at the same time.
Here's where I got my goods:

(Amazon product codes B00K5WF6L6, and B00KQUX4F2.)

I can't say these are the best. They're certainly not the cheapest. Had I known him at the time, I would have asked @sfv41901 who is a retrofit lighting guru where he would buy them.

And .... technically, you might be able to mix incandescent and LED bulbs while using the original flasher module. That would require installing load resistors. I fiddled around with that and got frustrated. So I went all-in with four LED bulbs and the new flasher module.

You can mix incandescent and LEDs with the new flasher module, so you don't have to go "all in". ;)

For some reason the site filtered out the Amazon links above. You can find them by searching Amazon product codes B00K5WF6L6, and B00KQUX4F2.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it. Those LEDs can get pretty hot if they're on for long. They got almost too hot to handle because I was running the flashers while I was doing this.

This is the tape I used:
That's Amazon product code B007Y7E95Y. It's not double sided tape. It's just tape with aluminum foil on one side.

EDIT: Oh, never mind. I thought you were talking about the tape I put on my turn-signal bases.
Are you saying that these striker plate covers will fall off?

The curb rash i gave myself last week was actually from trying to squeeze into a right turn with a curb next to it. It was too tight and I grazed the curb.

So it was not from a curb tuck parking. I am still in the process of causing that damage.:D

I'm just glad I did not hit the prius plus kit on the curb.
