hi every one; i kept my car more than 6 days in my garage and today i tried to start my car but, unfortunately smart key did not work. once i kept my hand under the door handle i can here a small click noise but it is not the usual noise and the turn light even did not flash, still the door is locked so i tired to unlock with the mechanical key. then i enter to the car and i press the break paddle i heard a long motor noise as usual but this is bit longer noise. then i saw my smart key appears on the dash board but the car did not start up . again i tried to on the car i here a knocking noise and the green light on the power button blinks . i tried several times no luck. what will be the problem will it be 12v battery ? please be kind to reply me thanking you; zakky
start by trying your second fob, then, test your fob battery. if no luck, test your 12v at the jump point under the hood. have you ever run the 12v down?
i am just having one fob i lost the other. no i never had this problem before because i use to start my car 2 times in a week. what will be the problem?
if it's the 12v, that could be the reason. although, a healthy 12v should be fine for a few months. if it's the fob, it's probably being drained by some random frequencies.
it is 2012 model i just bought it before a year in a reconditioned status. but usually i use to start without any problem from the same place i am pretty much sure there won't be any frequency problem. because once i depress the break paddle i can see this symbol on my dash but this makes delay to appear than usual. once i press the power button the engine is not starting up. so i tried to put it on mode without depressing the break paddle then the green light on the power button blinks with a small pop noise so i press the power button second time again i it did same again i pressed it third time as usual power off .
i'm sorry, but i can't really help any more, until you test the batteries. and then, if they prove to be good, you'll need to have it checked for trouble codes.
