    FIXED!!!!

Been in contact with megan racing who was cool enough to send me new rubber sound insulators vs the original plastic. Took the right side out and all apart. Tested the shock response, looked for scrapes or broken parts. Found one section with some metal scrapes. Think it was due to the preload too loose.

Anyways while trying to put the coil over back in I had to jack up the lower arm with that bolt that comes out. CLANG/CLUNK I heard. The coil over wasn't fully in place or even screwed in when this happened and I kicked myself. I have the progressive rear sway bar with larger bolts. Removed the botls and could not replicate the sound. Used the original sway bar bolts and has been fine so far today.

Good to hear it's all fixed now! what are the spring rates on these and what damper settings did you use?

Since I race and don't want to pull the seats fully each race, decided to make some holes to adjust the dampner.

The fronts were too risky to cut up with the saw I used to getting a new dremel bit for that. The clank sound is solved for the most part, every once in a while I'll get a small clunk when reversing but no where near like it was.

Spring Rates should be 5kg front, 4kg rear. Out of the 32 levels of damper I like for street driving around 12-15 turns so medium stiffness. When I autocorss I put on full stiffness 32 so all the way to the right. There are arrows with a + or - so you don't get it fixed up. Had it at 7 for a few weeks and was too soft, bumpy. One autocorss I was lazy and didn't tighten the rear damper and felt that hurt my cornering.

On my next car I'm doing springs or air bags for lowering. Taking a day to adjust the coil over height going from summer to winter sucks. Will never recommend Megan Racing. They creak and the boot covers are already torn. Ride quality is sucks too.

I had Megans on a 240sx I used to own. Can confirm they offer poor ride quality. But the worst were "Godspeed"... I had those coilovers on another Nissan, and there is nothing worse (perhaps except welding in solid metal bars instead of springs, and filling the tires with concrete). I swear the ride quality compressed my spine & caused my health problems to this day :(
