Swapped out 2 bad cells in HV pack, strange behavior afterwards?

    I'm thinking of having the dealer diagnose it as who knows how long it takes to get the cable.

    Odd thing happened today. I was driving home and I completely lost power steering. My right most red PS icon lit up, and by feel I totally lost all PS support. Yesterday I had to run over a tire tread as it was in the road and I couldn't avoid it. I'm thinking it was possible that it cut a line but I saw no fluid where I parked last night or today. That said, I was not really looking for fluid either.

    Is there a possibility that there is a situation where PS is related to the chinese hat/car icon with the exclamation point icon?

    Power steering is completely electric, no fluid.

    Our NHW11 Prius is operated by half a dozen control computers. The main ones are:
    • accelerator - a pair of encoders to the hybrid vehicle electronic control unit (HV ECU) that tells the engine controller how much power is needed and the traction battery controller.
    • shifter - a set of resistors and switch to the HV ECU that controls the transmission, a pair of powerful motor generators.
    • steering - a set of encoders detects the amount of torque so the power steering ECU can command the steering assist motor.
    • brake - the brake controller operates a hydraulic pump and valves that balance with the HV ECU to handle regenerative and mechanical braking.
    There are other ECUs for the body and air bags. There may be others but these are the biggies.
