Hey Cycledrum, there's something wrong with that number, 10.6! I believe Consumer reports has the 2015 Volt at 18 cuft. and the 2015 PiP at 22 cuft., Chevrolet says that the the 2016 should be more room not less, hmmm ...

Yah, any who, the alleged PiP 2016 (prototype #2) rear end looks a lot like the Volt, which some say looks a lot like the Civic.

i'm sorry, i meant most who won't consider a prius or other alt fuel car. i don't think styling is going to drag that many in to the next gen.

Gawd, you sound like the bland conformist mid-westerners I drive amongst during rush hour here in Central Ohio. It is like they all must conform to the Black, Gray or White Everybody-drives-the-same-thing mindset. I like the aerodynamically efficient utilitarian looks of the Prius. I like the fact that everyone instantly knows what it is. I like the fact that I can clock a corvette between stop lights when the battery is full. I ESPECIALLY like the fact that I stop for gas every other weekend whether I need to or not, because I HATE sending my money to the big oil companies!

Of course you did not mention (about your Prius) that ....
it is an attractive car inside with a nice blend of hard and soft touch materials, that it has a comfortable, straight layout that's modern but not too 'out there' in style. .... it has nice ride quality, quietness and handling for the class and cost of what it is.

You cannot say these things because they wouldn't ring true anyway. Some of us WANT IT ALL with Prius. We want the great fuel economy, ok fine if it looks like a Prius, but the damn car is just not the whole package yet.

Another thing. If you really HATE sending money to oil companies as much as you say, then why do you even drive a gas burning car? The fact is you ARE using gasoline. Could you show some level of appreciation for the fact that their product has allowed you to haul your butt wherever you want to go all these years?. Not saying you have to be all in love with oil companies, but geeesh, maybe it be kept on even keel.
