Hello all, first post here. Like it says above, my son is getting an an 08 after crashing his Dodge Neon. The car has the JBL system and the original window sticker says the radio is satellite radio capable. My question is whats the best way to get SiriusXM, I have an old Roady2 which uses either the built in fm xmitter or the aux plug. Its powered by a cigarette lighter adapter (is that always powered or only when the car is running?). Or is there an add-on that Toyota makes that could be installed. I have done several stereo installations in my Honda Ridgeline and his Neon.

Anyways thanks in advance and I cant wait to explore the forums.

    Tim

it only has power when the car is on. you most likely will need a ground loop isolator as well.

What's a ground loop isolator and where would a person find one?

its a cable that plugs into the aux port to keep noise from getting into your music, and you can find them on ebay, amazon, etc.
