Well, I explained the 2016's are being revealed in two weeks, and I wasn't in a big hurry. If they dropped below $20k, I'd buy. I didn't realize the Audi eTron was going to be hybrid, or I may have waited. There's so much advancement going on in the hybrid/EV market, I was tempted to wait. I just wanted to try it, and I have a long commute so the PIP seemed like the best of both worlds. The radar cruise has had a huge impact on my sanity.

with tech changing so fast, it's worth buying used. that audi etron will be priced right, when you're ready to trade. and you'll know if it's worthwhile.

That is exactly what I settled on bisco. I test drove the eTron yesterday in DC. Going to be an amazing vehicle. Gobs of power, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 40mpg. I just would rather have the Toyota reliability at the moment.

I do not know about others, but relying on German electronics (and really, a HYBRID WITH A 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION???), especially in a half-hearted, compliance vehicle, is a risky gamble.

My objection to the eTron is mostly that buying brand new and piling on the miles isn't a great plan. It's also tough to pile on the miles on a Audi. Their reliability is getting better, but it isn't Toyota. The driving experience was pretty amazing though.

Well I have had the car a little over 2 weeks now. My wife and I are loving it...the mileage has been AMAZING especially coming from an MDX & even makes our Civic seem like a gas guzzle now. We drove 650 miles first week and 620 last week. The EV miles all depend on the way we drive but I have got 14.5 miles before and about 10 was the least amount when I was not trying at all and in a rush. No buyers remorse at all its been a really amazing car so far with all the tech of the Advance model there is no feeling like we sacrificed anything. It just seems like we are driving in the best kept secret to most people who don't know how much money they could be keeping in their pockets while having an enjoyable commuter vehicle.

Our HUD works fine. Maybe try adjusting the height because you can't see it at some angles depending where it is set.

Yep, that is exactly our same experience! Wife LOVES the electric lumbar adjustment. We average 12 EV miles, but in reality we get more than that because once you use up the EV miles, you can then work on the HV electric miles. We have gotten up to 30 miles in electric mode only (EV/HV) when driving around town. Yes, "best kept secret" for those people who take the time to understand the concept.
