    hi everyone,

I currently have a 2005 Toyota Prius (235,000). Love the car! sadly, my combination meter is giving me problems.. basically the dash lights wont come on when I drive. I seen several things online about this issue and sadly I missed the extended warranty because Toyota never notified me about this issue even though I was going to Toyota of Alhambra to do the repairs/ maintenance .

I looked around and Toyota quoted me $750.00

another option is to have the combination meter fixed...I found a place in Van Nuys, CA and its only $125 with a life time warranty...now my question is , is it worth to remove the meter myself ? remove the dashboard seems kinda complicated, but I'd be saving over $600 bucks!

I called Toyota and they wont work with me...

Thanks! if anyone has done this before , please let me know :)
