Got the new Rude person's mid-chassis brace. Had Mike drill the hole slightly bigger. It's better then his original design. Nice and thin so it doesn't rub when I go up on my driveway. Torque to 38 lbs. Check out the comparison.

Trust me @apt5020 that aluminum diamond plate is going to nothing for your ride. It's made out of 6061-T6 which is very soft. So it's just going to flex and twist. (n) Save your money and buy some real chassis braces..

    Sorry, just my two cents.

Added an exhaust tip to go along with my new sporty rear end.

    20150912_112928.jpg

I am a bit paranoid about this thing falling off... so I drilled holes in the original tip so that the screws go all the way through.
    upload_2015-9-12_12-21-16.png
(There, you can see them peeping through.)

I also added some Loctite, which should prevent the screws from backing out.

That G's rear looks awesome! I'd be happy with just that body piece if I could only pick one.

Hey don't you live in MD? What braces do you have?

    Installed some visors this morning.
May or may not have screwed up a little on the rear passenger side.
Theyre just the 3m adhesive kind.
Would removing and reinstalling be a pain in the butt? Was too afraid to try...

Love the look / function of the rest though. Rookie mistake.

    I do live in MD.

I finished pulling off all the braces today. About 3-4 hours of work at a casual pace :) I miss working on cars. Maybe I'll have more of that with the new (to me) car.

    - Cusco strut tower brace for left hand drive.
    - Cusco front brace.
    - Cusco power brace.
    - Cusco mid/rear brace
    - Hotchkis front and rear sway bars.

    I also:
    - cleaned up my weathertech mats.
    - prepped my set of coilovers for sale, Tein Street Advance

All the various bracing, what exactly do they provide? I could see them for a track car but what do they offer a daily driver?

They gave me a really solid feel with turn-in and overall stability at speed. The strut tower brace really helped with steering response.

I used to spend 4-6 hours a day in my car. I needed something to make the drives a bit more enjoyable. Especially in the on/off ramps and long stretches of highway.

They also help with creeks inside the cockpit!

I'll get my first highway experience this week if my family is able to meet for lunch. If not, it will be whenever they can meet after that. 4-6 hours a day. Yikes. I probably do 4-6 a week now that I'm retired. I never thought about sporting driving in a Prius but I can see where they would help with that.

Okay, this exhaust tip just isn't giving me the G's feeling that I want.

I'm looking for something more like ...
    upload_2015-9-13_17-35-3.png

Let's try this on for size:

    20150913_171726.jpg 20150913_164041.jpg

    That's better.

You'll probably need to put a new 3M adhesive strip to reinstall properly or it might come flying off at highway speed. So yeah, might be a pain having to remove the old strip, ordering some new ones, and applying.

What brand did you happen to get? I ask because those look noticeably larger than the other visors I've seen here on the forums.

Installed the dashcam today and ran a USB cable down the passenger A-pillar to the 12v plug. Haven't driven around yet, but it turns on automatically with the car and auto shuts off about 15 seconds after the 12v cuts out.

I know SoCal is starting to cool down this week, so I'm hoping the camera doesn't fry in the car. If it survives the next few weeks/months, I'll probably consider hardwiring it.

I keep my dashcam mounted. I actually cover it up with a soft bag to keep it a bit cooler with the heat. Soft bag kinda like the soft oakley sunglass cloth bags but smaller, just the right size for the cam.
