    My personallized plate is DEV ROOT. Which has little to do with the Prius, other than that it is a rather geeky reference.

    DEV are my intials, ROOT is the superuser account in Unix/Linux, /dev in Unix is a special directory for hardware access, and /dev/root in Unix used to refer to the primary hard-drive/filesystem. If California allowed 8 characters, I would've gotten DEV PRIUS. DEV CAR was already taken, as was DEV NULL.

    How about "2GOB4" Since that is the meaning of the word "Prius" (or at least that's what the article says).

    Not sure how many letters are allowed but how about...

    HTAMALE? (It would look weird if you spelled it 'HOTMALE' LOL! :)

    I was thinking about getting a personalized plate, about savings/using less gas. BUT, I wonder about the jerks out there that may use a key etc to say like an. 'Oh Yeah, well, spend it on a paint job'... Especially as gas stays expensive or goes up even further
