Magnetic Gray is here....

    I ordered my Prius on April 10. I got the call from the dealer yesterday at 4:40 PM. Picked up my car and was on the road by 6PM. Only 7 miles on it.

    So far I'd give this car two thumbs up. It drives nice, is comfortable, and great MPG. The Magnetic Gray color is much nicer then I expected. I'd say the car is well worth $24k. Factor in the tax credit and you can't pass it up if you're considering one. Hat's off to Toyota for making such a nice vehicle. B)

    Congrats!!! I'm just amazed at how some people wait months and others get their cars in a few short weeks. But it worked out well for you so enjoy! Now get out there and start reviewing the posts for some really good information about the Prius.

    It's gorgeous, but it's funny how the same color will look different on different vehicles.

    When the magnetic gray came out on the '06 (or '05) Camry, I thought it was blah. But it looks great on the '07 Camry and on the Prius. I also don't think that the Silver Pine Mica looks very good on the Sienna, but it looks nice on the Prius (which I have) and on the Highlander. It also (to me) looks darker on the Sienna. Go figure.

    It IS a different colour. Magnetic Grey is new for this year. Last year's Camry came with Phantom Grey Pearl which is a bit browner (see the other thread with a Magnetic Grey Prius. You can see a Camry LE parked next to it in Phantom Grey Pearl)

    Just saw MG on the freeway a few minutes ago.. hopped onto priuschat and low and behold...

    Wanted to say it looks really really good... has a big metallic flake in the paint that makes it sparkle and shine!

    There's the best looking Prius color right there, other than black. Very nice.

    I agree. The other pictures I saw were taken on a hazy day, so the color didn't look that good, but in the sunlight, the color looks WAY better. I think I'm going to order the Magnetic Gray now over the Classic Silver Metallic.

    I ordered mine yesterday, and I can't wait---though it looks like I'm going to be waiting for a minumum of two months in Los Angeles to get my Magnetic Gray, but I test drove a magnetic gray one yesterday-and they are well worth the wait!

    Pretty car, congratulations! I almost held out for MG, but ultimatedly decided I didn't want to have to wait another few months in addition to the 5.5 month wait I had for my Black. :)

    i tried to resist this post (jealousy is such an ugly thing). i'm very happy for you. as i mentioned before i wanted the magnetic gray but couldn't wait. i still love my silver. but man, that's a great color. so cool. thanks for the pic. :)

    OOOOOH that color is awesome! I got my black one in January and I was contemplating waiting to see the Magnetic Grey in person but I just couldn't wait that long. It looks great though! Can't wait to see one in person!

    Where did you order yours from? My wait is three weeks at Longo in Long Beach. I might even get one earlier if anyone declines their car from the batch that arrives this week, though I doubt anyone can resist the MG!

    Call Dean Taylor at Longo and you should get the same VIP treatment I did.

    I am getting a special "friends of the family" deal, since I know someone from the family who owns Longo. I can't really disclose the price else I might get my arse in trouble. I do believe they own Longo in El Monte as well.
