Using what I posted, double check. I can see on wednesday if ZB07 has been loaded into the Over The Air servers, and if so then you should have the latest version. I do know that the sister software for the A900, ZB12 has not been loaded and the only way to get it is by the computer at a store.

Hi! I have a Samsung A900 phone. My BlueTooth works well except I seem to receive a lot of 'Ghost Calls'. These are calls that don't show up on my phone but my car rings (I have a 2006 Prius #7). I cannot answer these calls, I can only hit dissconnect repeatedly until it stops ringing. This mainly happens in highly populated areas (Northern VA) but has also happened out in the coutry too when not many cars are around. Usually when these 'Ghost Calls' start, they keep coming every 5-20 seconds of disconnecting the call and the only way to stop it is to disable the bluetooth. I can make and receive calls without any problems. But the 'Ghost calls' drive me nuts. I e-mailed Toyota and they responded by saying since my phone wasn't one of the ones that is 100% compatible then there is nothing they can do. Anyone know of a fix? I tried deleting and re-establishing the connection but I still have the problem. I Update my phone constantly.
    Thanks!
    Kristy

Gotta take it to a Sprint store and have them load the latest version of the software - ZB12. That will cause all your issues to magicly go away....

OK, I went to the Sprint store and had them perform the lastest software upgrades on my Samsung A900 phone. Unfortunately it has not fixed my 'ghost calls' issue. I must be picking up signals from other phones. What a hassle. Anybody have any other ideas? Also, anybody else have a Sprint phone that they have no issues with Prius? Also, does anybody have the same phone as me and not have issues?
    Thanks!
I'm a little disappointed that Toyota won't do anything to help resolve this matter. They won't even let me bring it in to take a look to see if there is anything wrong on Prius' end without charging me. I've had the car less then 2 months and the only way to stop the ghost calls is disconnect the bluetooth, which is a bummer because I love using it!

I have an LG LX350 and it works well for the headset/handsfree, but you can't transfer the phone book.

jhereg, does it work well with the Prius? Dropped calls, ghost calls, etc.?

Does the battery or signal meter display? Does the MFD show the number of the incoming call?

Check the version yourself. They may have been lazy and just did an update over the air, which won't fix your problem.

The battery and signal meter do not display, but the <strike>incoming call number does show</strike>. I haven't had any dropped or ghost calls yet, however I've only had it for a week so I can't say for sure.

With the exception of the phone book download, the rest of it seems to function fine.

Correction! It only shows the incoming number when not moving. When you're driving, it doesn't show the number!

Thanks! Seeing the incoming number was the most important to me.

Sorry fish, I didn't test it out enough.

The incoming number only shows when the car's not moving.
When you're driving, it doesn't show the number.

When I tested it out last night, I just sat in the car and had my gf call my cell. It never crossed my mind that they would do something so silly as to purposely not show the number when you're moving. But they did. :(

Vagabond - Thanks so much for all the help. When I checked my version it says 'ZA06'. Does that mean when I went to the Sprint store that the Tech guy did not update me with the most rescent version? You mentioned before that I should get the ZB12 update.

    Question:
If you use the "dance" override to allow destination to be typed in when moving, will the number show while you are moving? (Volume screen up down up down, gps override?) This is the same thing the coastaletech mod does.

From what I read in this thread, the override dance doesn't work on the 06's. However, I will give it a shot and see what happens.

Update: I couldn't get the nav override to work on my 06, so I can't test on that.

How absurd, why don't they just blank the MFD when you take your foot off the gas?!

I have just purchased a Samsung A920. After a few go-arounds, I got it to hook up with my 2005 Prius, and for calling/receiving it works fine. I am trying to transfer my phone book to the Prius, and I cannot get that to work. Reading thru the comments in this topic, some people have been able to at least get the entries to transfer one at a time. I figure I am doing something wrong as I can't get that far. Specifically, what buttons do you need to press (or what menus do you need to access) on the A920 after you have told the Prius to transfer a phone book?

On another note, some of the people here say that they get their phone to connect, but cannot get the speakers to work, that they only can hear sound through the phone itself. I also had that problem. I could dial a number on the Prius's screen and the call would connect, but no sound thru the car's sound system.

I went back to the Telephone sub-menu in the Info catagory and 'selected' (I think this is in the 'Settings' part of the menu) the phone that I had entered and synced. From then on the calling/receiving worked perfectly. This may be the problem that others are having.

Yes, they didn't do a current update. Take it back, tell em to do it again.

and sorry for the delay on this. I must have missed the post.

I can't really help you on the phonebook issue. I never bothered to try since I prefer to dial from the phone itself. But I'm gonna give it a shot as it's bugging me not having an answer.

Alot of people have your issue with the phone not transfering the call. Now I can't say exactly what the issue is, but I believe it is the car not registering the phone properly. Most people make a call and after it starts to ring hang up and place the call again. This usually gets the call to connect though the car.

1st - I should change my name to "TidelandTN" since I moved this month.

In the process of moving and switching from a work phone to a personal cellphone, I still have Sprint service, but now have the Samsung A900 instead of a Blackberry. I purchased the phone in April '06.

I did check my software version last night, and it says that it's ZB12. But I'm still running into problems that others report.

I thought I had it licked after a new pairing session, since my calls were coming through the speakers in the Prius just fine. But yesterday I went to show my friend how cool this all was, and suddenly I'm back to the calls showing up on the screen, but the volume is only through the A900 itself. I tried deleting the phone and re-adding, and hit the "Pairing failed" many times. I was able to get it back up and paired, but still couldn't get the sound through the NAV system of the car.

Any other tricks or tips that you can think of?

    Thanks for the help!

My take on Sprint's two newest BT phones: LG LX350 and Nokia 6165.

I stopped by Radio Shack on the way home yesterday and looked at the new Nokia 6165. I played around with the menus and features a little. Not being familiar with Nokia, I found the menus hard to get used to. They say Nokia menus are more intuitive, but I don't get it. Phone looks good and feels solid. Display, camera, and video were all average but comparable to other phones in price range. Took the phone out of the store and paired with Prius and it worked fine except no phone or battery meter display (doesn't work for Samsung a900 or a920 or LG LX350 anyway). I could not test an incoming call since the phone was not activated. Also, the universal power adapter and car charger I have from Sprint did not fit the Nokia. The aperture of the charger port on the phone is too small to accept the plug. I found this odd since I thought it was supposed to be universal. The same universal charger fits the Samsung a920 and LG LX350.

Then I went over to Sprint store and played with the LG LX350 again. I found the menus easier to follow and more standardized. I really only talk on my phones (no text, not much vision) and both phones sounded clear and were loud enough. I like the LX350 voice recongnition better than the voice tags on the 6165. Also, I couldn't figure how to turn the speakerphone on for the 6165 (if is has it?). The LG paired up fine with the Prius also. The incoming call number did display as others have reported.

Unless someone uncovers a great advantage/feature of the 6165 that I didn't notice, I would pick the lx350 over the 6165. The Nokia just did not impress other than the looks.
