    If you have an executive membership at costco they are running their normal $70 bucks off michelin but also have an extra $60 off installation making it $130 off a new set of 4. Check your email for the offer code or call customer service if you didn't receive one and they will give you one.

    P.S. I think after all the research between the Defender, Premier, and Energy I have decided to go with the Premiers they have such superior traction and handling in the tests and don't seem to give up much on mpg being 9/10

    Yes its an additional discount for executive members only. They do it once a year.

    In Canadian Dollars, I think it's about $50 extra. You also get something like 2% off on all purchases, recouped once a year. We went with that for one year, then dropped it. I guess the premise is that the more you spend the more you save. If you don't spend enough to break even, they supposedly refund the difference. I think...

    But the implementation hurt my head, and the whole concept of a yearly "cover charge" grates with me already, so I stay with the minimum entry fee.

    One thing I've noticed, for a while, every time we were paying for stuff, the "bagger" was very aggressively asking us if we'd like to upgrade our card.

    Hello, back again.
    My local Toyota dealer has this tire deal (might be national) buy three get fourth for $1. My deal is $151 each includes mount and balance + 24 month free road hazard + tire disposal fee. Whole deal plus tax is $581 good to Oct 30.
    Their offer is for a Michelin Defender GRN X BSW 195/65R15 91T. Good for 90K mi or 6years. The quote printout included the technical details: all season, green X eco friendly, 3D siping, lower rolling resistance, better braking, lower road noise.
    Any forum members using this tire? Top/middle/bottom of line?

    Well LDB, as weird as this sounds, Discount Tire deal and the Toyota dealer values are about equal. Discount Tire had out the door quote of $573, installed and balanced. Toyota, buy three get fourth for $1, was $581 installed and balanced. Difference is my dealer is three blocks away (I can walk there if I want), while nearest Discount Tire dealer is 15 miles round trip through town. Of course if I was getting four tires with no special deal, then Discount Tire would make the cross town trip worthwhile.

    Hardest part is trying to get same tire type from both places (apples and apples).
