Previous owner was a smoker so carpet and rear panels are getting pressure washed and new leather seats being installed. Will also scrub every surface including headliner and run ozone generator in it for an hour.

Interesting that the umbilical for the charging line has a water trap and drain. Wonder how water gets past the connector?

Don't know but it doesn't hurt to be extra cautious. Nice to know Toyota still has its hands in details.

Looks harder to steal the batt...

On the water boot, could it be condensation if moist air outside?

We ran our ozone generator over night - to make certain all the stink was dead. It was the only way to make certain it wouldn't come back.

Yes, my dealership, Tampa Hybrids, specializes in pre-owned hybrids, almost exclusively Prius.

I try to minimize exposure to ozone as I have read it can damage solders and other electronics.

    bad for terminators, eh?
    ;)
long term yes .... & ozone is like any other non-oxygen molecules which doesn't support non-plant life. In a closed car, it eventually displaces the oxygen. But the idea is - you don't sleep in the car overnight while it's running. Ozone dissipates pretty quick, so even after running all night, once you open the door - your car airs out in just a few seconds.

pretty sure when you're charging in the elements, it's not water tight.

but what damage does it do to electronics overnight? rhetorical, no one really knows.
