Wow! I am really stoked about finding this site! I am looking for a 06 Prius, and live in Central Florida. Has anybody had any great, or not so great experiences with any dealers around here? I have a 04 Cadi CTS, and have finally made the decision to quit getting 18 MPG. I want the upgraded 17" wheels. I think it makes a huge difference. Not quite sure which pacakge to get, but I want leather. so it looks like it only comes in package 8? I have already read about the $990 plat. warranty here as opposed to the dealer. Are they really getting MSRP? Any tips of wisdom?

    Hello Mike,
I bought my 2005 Prius from Central Florida Toyota, on S. OBT, Orlando, FL. I had and excellent experience with them and highly recommend considering this dealership. They will try to sell you add ons (Lomax, Oil Change Service program and extended warranty coverage, etc. but you can do better searching this site and taking the recommendations of PC responders before commiting to additional cost contracts.)
I have been going back to them at regular service intervals and have not had any complaints.
I will probably do the oil change myself when the car gets older but as it is new technology, I feel better having the dealer take a look at those times.

Cool, I live in Hunter's Creek, so I know exactly where they are. Did they negotiate on price at all?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I bought in April of 05, at that time, due to the short supply, month or better waits, dealers were adding several thousand to sticker price. I didn't even consider barganing as they just weren't available. They sold at MSRP plus tax tag and title fees. From initial contact it took 3 weeks to take delivery.
I drove by the other day and notice several on the lot.
If he is still there as for Scott Orbany.

I also bought from Central Florida Toyota and had a great experience.
This is the 4th new car we bought from them in less than 2 years.

Since I just traded my 05 in on the 1st of May (2 days ago), they probably still have that one on the lot! LOL!!!

Anyway, they are only charging MSRP +++ even though there may be a markup on the sticker.

    Good luck!!!

If I hadn't found my prius at Lakeland Toyota, Central FL would have been my next choice. The sales person was great, but I had a particular model/package in mind, and was kind of antsy, so I didn't want to wait long.

I was always approached with the $1,500 above MSRP deal, but I got my offer at MSRP at Lakeland. CF would have worked with me, but the wait was about 6 wks..

I do go there for regular maintenance though, and their service center is great! :)

I live in tampa, and went to every dealership in florida south of lake city, i found one in palm beach who offered me $500 msrp and no dealer fees. I paid 23358 for a package #3, nothing added, i couldnt only find this dealer with the exact package, not the color though, black, i wanted the grey, which just came in a month later that i bought mine :( though my contact with the dealership was all online, and we negotiated everything in about 2 weeks i had a week to come pick up the car. I bought mats from ebay for $50 instead of 209 froim toyota
