Thinking of selling our 2012 PIP - Blizzard Pearl; Advanced, 32K miles; Clear Bra on Hood, Bumper, Fenders and Mirrors. Just put new Michelin tires all around. Excellent condition. Thinking of picking up a used Tesla....

Located in Southern CA - Ventura County....

don't matter the accessories you installed, the final price of the vehicle will be the buyers demand acquisition.

at the current pip prices, I wished I didn't buy my regular 2015. It's so worth it to get the pip and carpool benefits at such low prices.

I was looking at picking up a CPO for around $60K and I was thinking that my payments would probably increase a few hundred per month....

NADA trade in is $16,500. If you feel like taking a weekend in Vegas, deliver it to me and I will give you $17,500. Heck, a one way ticket back to LA is $100, I'll give you $17,600!

Thanks for the offer....but I don't think I would sell for less than $20K. The new Michelin tires that I put on last weekend were almost $600 installed. I'll even throw in a full detail and an oil change - which I do myself. I hand wash and detail all my own cars....don't trust anyone else to be anal as I am (^.^)

If you're that anal then the car might be one of the few that really are in excellent shape, instead of the owner just thinking that it is.
Keep trying to sell the car locally (and in this forum!)

The problem with your car is that it's four years old, and it's a usta car---meaning they usta make those, but now they don't.

However (comma!!!) you have a few benefits with this car which makes the $20,000 asking price something close to doable including what people in the investment world call the Dead Cat bounce.
Pip values have been falling faster than Jeb's polling numbers, BUT.....they aren't making them now and most of the 2015 Pips have been sold. Also, Toyota has adopted an NSA themed marketing campaign for the follow-on Pip---if there is one. Most of the people who roll Pips just need a placard for the HOV sticker, and yours probably will work for that. Finally.....speaking of poor Jeb.....the G4 Prius hasn't exactly popped in the polls.

I'm thinking that if you hang on to the $20K asking price, and if your car really is in near showroom shape then you might get close to 20K before the vehicle's value continues on its trajectory towards the seabed.

    $600.....for TIRES?!?
    I paid $750 for my Michelins....but those were for a Truck.....at 60K!

    I'd downplay that.
Even in SoCAL 32K is a little soon to be needing four new tires for an adult driven car.

    Good Luck!
    Post Pics!!
