Back Hurting, Can't find good seating position.

    Another update.

    Today I went by the Dealership and took some measurements.

    The measurements that I found to be most useful were taken from were the seat's Rail(Forward/Back) that is Riveted to the Brackets that hold the seat directly to the car's frame. Each Bracket has 2 rivets for a total of 8 rivet attachment points. From the measurements of the rivets, the 8-Way power seat in the 2015 Toyota Prius 'lift back' Should fit(This is the car I measured today). As two of the four rivet locations on both sides(4 out of 8) match up perfectly to the Prius C Frame Mount. There are also a few more extra rivet holes in the seat Rail system(forward/back) that are not used, and That I think if I move the whole seat just 1 hole forward, all 8 holes I will be able to bolt to the Frame mounts.

    So instead of riveting the new seat back on, I will have to use Pan Head bolts with locking washers and nuts. Im about 85% positive this will work.

    This made me super excited that this would be possible.

    Now I just need to go to a salvage yard and find a 2015 Toyota Prius "Lift Back" 8-Way Power Driver's Seat that is Black .

    I will post a diagram later about my measurements.

    Oh, and the seat is more comfortable with thigh support, lumbar, Tilt back . The true test will be when its in my car...

    Horrible car. I have had mine for about 2 years. 30k miles later and I have a herniated disc. I believe this car puts you in a bad posture. Your body adapts to this bad posture and makes you accident prone.

    Your body gets used to it pain-wise within the first few months, however that does not mean damage is not occurring.

    Check again, most definitely a tilting and telescoping steering wheel.

    seats are by no means bolted to the slides the same good luck as I'm sure SOME are, but my experience over the years of owning salmost exclusively Toyotas in my family is that they are vastly different.

    I've never had a problem before but my back kills me from my 2017 Prius. I'd sell this car purely because it's causing me pain and I don't want it to get worse or even chronic.

    you should, the fix for your back will be a lot more expensive than the hit you take on depreciation

    People have had great luck swapping the seat. I believe the most common I've seen has been the Lexus CT seats. They are apparently much much better.
    I personally was able to adjust mine appropriately, but mine's a 4 and may have more adjustments than yours.

    First thing I bought after getting my 2012 was this fix for the lack of lumbar support. Not sure if that''s the source of your problem, but it's cheap enough to give it a try.

    Hmm... is there some new rule about links here? Doesn't seem to be working. So go to Amazon and search on Lumbar Support with Double-Layer Mesh.
