Me too, it is hilarious that you said that Microsoft tries to emulate Apple. When asked to clarify you gave several examples of products that have existed way before Apple introduced their version. When shown that you were incorrect then suddenly you are a big MS fan and find this hilarious. You are right, it is hilarious. Have a good day.

Have an older HP Pavilion Laptop with OEM WIN7PRO64 that's had problems not taking Windows updates. Did not want to reformat so I decided to test bed it with Windows 10. The only real problem is it kicked out one of my layers of security. There is a WIN10 compatible update to this security software, but I wish there had been some warning before it dumped. Anyways...haven't experienced the issue being discussed here, but have to find everything and set it up MY WAY again. Not all settings are saved.

I grew up in Sunnyvale. Knew a woman who was "one of the first" to work at Apple. She regrets leaving early on.

I now live in the Seattle area. I am not a MS fan. Far, far from it.

Some of you can jump around about how much you think MS has done. Fine. I will not try to dispute it. My only request is that for those of you with an open mind, google something such as "why I hate microsoft.".

Work through the junk and find the truth.
MS does not work for me.

The general public are indeed ignorant and for the most part stupid. These are the people that claim their mac works so much better than their PC but fail to mention they are replacing a 3 year old $400 laptop with a brand new $2000 laptop. Any brand new $2000 laptop would work better than a brand new $400 laptop let alone an older one. This is the sort of crap you have to wade through.

I have yet to hear from anyone a good reason as to why Apple is supposedly superior. They make decent hardware at a high price point with great marketing. Their hardware has many flaws (like overheating Macbook Pro's when doing real work), their OS has many flaws (or rather "kernel panics", but their marketing department is top notch.

One of the only things I agree with Apple fanboys about is that Steve Jobs was a ruthless visionary with a knack for pushing high cost and higher reliability designs through the bean counters offices. Having worked with Apple, seen product schematics for devices not publicly announced, seen overall component qualities and so on, Apple has definitely let their quality slip since Job's passing. It won't matter much because Apple can do no wrong to its customers.

I would be highly interested in why Microsoft doesn't work for you. Fully knowing nothing will change your opinion, and frankly I don't care what you use. But I do like to know why people think things like that.

Windows or Mac, Ford or Chevy, Toyota or Honda, New York or Los Angeles...who cares. It's a choice, pick one and let others pick theirs. This thread is about Windows 10.

It's a choice, but if incorrect statements are spewed out as fact it should be corrected. Letting ignorance persist has gone on too long.

As it applies here...who cares what others say. Buy the machine and s/w that fits your application. If I just needed something to talk on this forum, do facebook, check emails, do pictures, music and such, I wouldn't even need a computer with today's technologies, but iOS does handle those things...if one chooses. I use Windows because my interface with the world requires heavy Windows support base. iOS does not play well, or at all, with everything.
Anyways...the layer of security I mentioned earlier not compatible with WIN10 is back with the required compatibility update. All other programs good to go...update, backup, clone...Done! ;)
